Glenn St. Charles and me
« on: December 15, 2018, 04:18:44 PM »
Today is Glenn St. Charles 107th Birthday, what as to do this Hunting legend with a simple bowhunter like me? Well few years before he passed away we meet at the Pope & Young convention in Denver, I had a Green Stripe Bear TD handle with me hoping to have it signed by one of my heroes. Glenn was on his wheelchair with his son John pushing it, he was wearing his world famous fringed jacket and after some introductions he signed that handle for me. Every year since he passed away I have used that riser, with some limbs, to onore that forefather of traditional archery. It is my lucky bow since most of the the times I took it for hunting I am been blessed with some animals down. Today was not different. ......

What a fantastic way to pay tribute Glenn. I too have a couple items that he signed for me and admire them often.

Felix,  of all of our archery legends, he most represents how I feel about the sport/way of life.  You have no idea how many times I thought of driving the seven hours to Seattle to visit with him. My biggest archery regret is that, being a introvert, I didn't want to bother him with something he had heard a thousand times. Lucky you, I am envious.

Good job Felix.

And the bow is a LEFTY to boot!
I had a really good group going... until I shot the second arrow.
