I'm going to need to shoot one of these at the Expo. My first longbow was an original Shrew, a 1994, stopped in to Ron's shop looking for an old recurve to try out traditional bows and he sold me a Shrew. Loved it but later found that I shoot longer bows much better. This 60" Classic II has my attention.

What a riser on that Classic Hunter!
Beautiful.

What am I missing? What's 3. @31" mean?

I was wondering about the meaning of “3. @ 30” And “3.1 @ 30” also.

The draw force curve on the two new Super Shrew bows produced by Bodnik bows for Ron draw a super smooth even draw all the way out to the listed pound per inch at 30”

These pictures don't do the "new" Shrew bows justice.

In camp this year I messed around with several prototypes that Henry brought. As I have said before, I am not going to post pictures because while each bow was EXCELLENT, their were tweaks Ron made that brought them in line with his design.

I left camp with 3 of the prototypes, and had put an order in for a new L'il Favorite.

These bows flat out SHOOT. Easy to quiet. The grip...which I believe to be the greatest Shrew attribute...is as ergonomic as  a grip can be. I have not shot Shrew's in awhile, and I forgot how the grip causes the bow to just become part of your hand. I shot those bows like I had owned them for years.

These bows are flawless in quality of manufacturing, they shoot and handle exactly like Ron has designed, and they are AVAILABLE. If you have ever been on the waiting list for a Shrew, you know what that means.

This is a new era for Ron LaCair, and I couldn't be happier for him.

Beautiful bows for sure.

Never saw bows talked about in these terms, so do the numbers mean draws 3 pound per inch to 30" or starts to elevate to 3 pounds per inch at 30"? Just trying to learn. Thanks

I would like to shoot one at 40#'s. I just don't think I could swing a new bow at this time.
