Veneers ideas for my new Toelke Whistler

I have money burning a hole in my pocket for a new Toelke Whistler. I need some ideas for the veneers that will blend in out west. Pictures and the name of the wood would be great.

Dan's Myrtle is usually the way to go for me, his mango is a looker too, although I don't particularly like it in my bows, but that's just me.  Keep in mind that Dan and Jared do not use dyed wood since they claim it interferes with the glue-up.  Yew, Juniper, maple and figured canary wood seems to be a good choice and they use it quite a lot as well.  Veneer woods such as bocote are also on hand although I have found that most Toelke bows I've seen with them don't carry some of the crazy figure often seen on other bows.  Can't say the same for their riser options: Whatever they have to offer regarding riser woods has always been great for me: the cocobolo, zircote and macassar ebony in my Lynx, Whip and Super D are fantastic.

Hope this helps, although I highly recommend telling Dan what you're looking for and have him recommend the ingredients since it seems like you're looking for an overall look rather than a specific type of wood.

I have had Dan make me a number of bows, on a few of them I was at the shop and chose the wood there. After owning a number of them I ordered one and told him to surprise me. It's as pretty a bow as any I've had. I would trust his judgement, he can tell you just what he has and what he has that is exceptional.

I always had the best luck telling Dan to just use the best stuff he had available.  When I tried to force his hand I had mixed results.

Big plus - the myrtle is domestic; I believe it's all from Oregon and California.  Many of the exotic woods are imported.  Not that there is anything wrong with imports but when I can I like having domestic wood especially when it's as gorgeous as myrtle.

Some spalted maple from Dan.  I also like to let the bowyer pick based on what they have in stock.
