Kwikee Kwiver options
« on: December 24, 2018, 06:18:04 PM »
Just bought my first bow with Quiver inserts (Schafer).  Starting looking at quivers and finding it hard to use a plastic Quiver on my bow....silly maybe but that bow is way to good looking not to have some type of leather Quiver installed.  Anybody making leather quivers that will utilize the kwikee style inserts?

I've covered a couple Kwickees with leather, glued and stitched. Came out great, hardest part is making a pattern.
Used to be a guy on eBay selling them, don't know if he does anymore.

Oh and I hunt the swamp so mud on my toys is common place. You can actually use nice leather and keep it clean. I just can’t .

Love that muddy Quiver!

I will check ebay

Doesn’t have to be kwikee Quiver can be another brand that uses the same mounting system.

Love my kwikee quivers. Just have someone make a custom leather hood for it. In fact you made me think I’ll make myself one!

Following this one. I too have just bought a bow with these same inserts and was thinking the 3 arrow kwikee and trying to wrap the hood in leather myself. I have always used the thunderhorn mini boa. Love those quivers but would like to utilize the existing inserts if I can.

So here’s my latest thought. I really like the look of the tight spot quiver. I am thinking their bracket will mount to the same inserts and the allow same easy removal as mailed BUT will allow quiver to be much closer to the riser for better balance if shooting with quiver on. Anybody try that combo?  Of course I will add leather or something to make it not look all plastic....

I have the Kwikee 3 Arrow Qiver and it’s awesome if you use 3 Broadheads and a piggy backer for Small Game Arrow. You can also use the bigger Kwikee Quivers but they are more bulky. Fine for Stand hunting if you remove them but too bulky for me to shoot with. 3 Arrow is sweet. I too really like the Tight Spot if it were made to be better looking....

One thing to keep in mind about the TS quiver:

Q: What cutting diameter broad head will your quiver hold?
A: Typically a 1 3/16” max diameter on 3 and 4 blade broadheads is the max that the TightSpot can fit in the hood.

I’m using a tight spot quiver on my WF19 riser. Works great as I’ve got it balanced to shoot pretty well with the quiver on the bow if I have to but I take it off and hang it in the tree most of the time. I wish the hood were leather though so I may end up wrapping it myself.
