I have never attended one that you've put together but I'd be interested in one if it could be held around the Valley Falls-Perry Lake area?  I have a buddy that own/trains legit beagle rabbit dogs I've hunted over before and he may be available to run his dogs for us if there is any interest?

Ok who knows that area and would like to set up the meeting place. IE walk-in hunting area Corp lands or heck if you have too many rabbits on your place and you want us to scare the dickens out of them.

What day late Jan or Early February? Soon later?

KellyG-
I'm not intimately familiar with the area but I have hunted it a few times with him as he does frequently run his dogs/pups there as well as hunt there too.  We also have some private ground (mine & other friends) that's near Valley Falls so if we strike out on public we can journey over to my place which always holds rabbits.  I'm about 50 minutes from Valley Falls and not sure how far away you are, but if you want to do this let's pick a couple weekends and I'll confirm that he's available and firm it up...What say you?  I did this back in 08' with Dave Bulla and some others from around the Weston, Mo area and we had a blast.  Cooked breakfast burritos and hunted over the dogs and had a great time.

kskickapoo I am over near Manhattan. I know others are out by you. I say we look at the last weekend in Jan thru Feb. Lets see who might be intersted and what dates work for the majority.

Hey Kelly,  :wavey:
You know, the first Kansas Bunny Stomp was up at the Valley Falls public hunting area... it was a warm sunny day and we had a dirt road all you can eat buffet line set up. Good food and good fun and, as usual, no rabbits were harmed.
I sure will try to make this one, just pick a place and date.

Paul, That was a great time and the venison you cooked along with Bulla was to die for! If I am home when this happens I will go. I wish Bretto could come with us! He really liked them.
I would've taken better care of myself,if I'd known I was gonna live this long!

Hi Ben,
Bretto and I were doing the backstrap steaks and I am honored that you remember them so well. (Yeah I miss that guy...)
Dave Bulla was scambling eggs in that giant disk/wok as I recall for the breakfast burrittos..  :)

Kelly,
I'll check with the wife about a pie...  :dunno:

So, yesterday morning went out for a morning hunt with my son & Mike (beagle pack owner) and hunted my place with my son's new to him side by side double and took two rabbits home for the pot and watched his dogs sniff out many more so there's plenty around these parts.. :bigsmyl:  Mike indicated that he'd be interested in either late Jan or late in Feb hunt for archers out by Perry with better terrrain for our type of hunt.  KellyG and whoever else would like to meet up let me know which might work better, the last Sat in Jan or Feb and I'll confirm with Mike.  I likely will not do a lot of the walking due to a hip issue but I'm a good cook on the homemade disk wok and I'm not opposed to rustling up some back strap burritos (while you all hunt) for lunch if anyone wants to participate in that?  It should be fun...let me know.  Chris

I would certainly be interested since that would be in my back yard; however, the last weekend in February is the KBA convention and I am committed.  I would be interested in the the 3rd Saturday of February or any time in January.  I made it the last time the hunt was held near Valley Falls and it was a blast.

Well when do we want to do it? Jan 25th, Feb 15th or 22nd. KS Kickapoo since this is your neck of the woods what works best for you and the houndsmen? Or other dates?
