I really like my Army Surplus wool pants. I think they cost around 20.00. I have used them for stand hunting in cold weather down to the low 20s with no problem. I wear Smart Wool base layer underneath. Pockets are deep and pants are durable and quiet. They would be perfect if sewed some cargo pockets to them.

I have been wearing a pair of gray wool Asbell Bibs for 2 seasons now. Plenty warm, durable, quiet, pockets in all the right places, and AFFORDABLE.

Filson mackinaw wool pants and bibs, in camo, about 95% of my hunting gets done in one or the other

I’ve played for 30 years with clothes for Stickbow hunting and wool beats all every time, except for in sticktites and big briar patches. It’s quiet, warm, wind resistant if you buy the right stuff, and doesn’t reflect light like synthetics. Pick a color and get some filson pants they’ll last your lifetime and your kid’s kids. there are a ton on auction sites. Or buy new..
