Cold and rainy, but I snuck out to sear some backstraps on the grill.  Then brought them in and finished them up with some sautéed onions.
Then washed them down with a little home brew.

I have made a lot of homebrew, I even liked one or two of them. The rest other people got to like. I decided making bows and knives was more my thing.

Raspberry mead

  Your killin' me...  Sounds Tasty...

A few years back I was too young to buy it so I figure I would make it...  I made a few batches and about half were tasty and the rest tasted like crap...  After a while i figured I would get straight to the point and skip the quality BS...  I invented a direct method of achieving a potent and staggering result...   I invented Chit Wine...  A secret recipe of raisins, sugar, yeast and water...  *After I got done stringing my bow... I would wait for a very cold winter day...  I would take this fermented concoction of Chit Wine and put it in a beer keg with copper tubing coming from it and light a fire under it...  I think you all know the rest of the story...  That was some high octane chit...

* Had to put that in there so this post doesn't get taken off the forum...    ;)

Hi there
Finally got around calibrating some proper super lams. Had to rebuild a sled all over again to get the tapper I was aiming for (0,005 and 0,003 at the other end ).

Everything going well I should be able to glue all this up this weekend.

Lonnie, you should be up this way, a couple weeks back we had about 20" snow in around 10 days. Then we had 2 good days and it melted and flooded a bunch, now about 3/8" of ice on everything.

I'll take some warm weather now please!! :biglaugh:
We had 22" in about 36 hours.   this is not a race to see who got more or when I just cant shovel due to health issues.  I watch other family members shovel, feeling guilty.
Great meal by the way Bvas.

As I did like the first time but used two pieces of thicker marine plywood (15mm) 2” wide and I glued shims in between (thickness gauge) every 4” with cyano. I can post a picture later.

Looking forward to the pics Garman...   Cool looking sled you got there Tonz...

I am pushing the limits of my bow design today...  I am working on the riser for a Target/3-D Reflex/Deflex bow...  I am gonna make the limbs longer than my standard 64" ntn bow...  Shooting for 66" to 68" ntn... The riser is 21" and tried to keep the ramps as short as possible for extra weight but hopefully will still fit in the form...  (Having a topless form would be good right about now)..  I am using Jatoba for the riser wood...  Man that stuff is like working with a rock...  Hard, Dense and Brittle...  I am entertaining the idea of making some ornaments out of lead that can be screwed on to the back of the riser to add weight as stabilizers...  Shooting to come in around 37# draw...

I guess the way to go would be to make a three piece take down to get a heavy riser...

It was such a nice warm 26 degree day today that I went to a 3D shoot at the club.

Made a trilam for a buddy and this is his first shot with it.

He wanted to see it before I stained and sealed it.

He loved it.
