Got a care package from my coworker’s uncle of 4 turkey wings and 2 tail fans. So plucked the wings tonight and will get the fans dealt with tomorrow.

That's the way to ruin a good arrow, Stik.  :thumbsup:

Did some tweaking on my one piece recurve this weekend. Glued up one with maple and red cedar with no stabil kore. It seems that the maple keeps the limbs just as stable as boo with stabil kore. I also took a inch off the length. I profiled and cut nocks at 60 inches then scaled it, then cut it back 59 inch and scaled it. I didn't gain any poundage to my surprise. It made the limbs a good bit more stabile and took out most of the hand shock. It always amazes me what small changes will do to a bow.

Yep Flem, the tree was dead when I cut it. It was down to 7 percent. The riser is a piece of a Black Walnut log I got from a friend last summer with some canary wood. The log has some beautiful crotch wood in it but it has a crack rite in the middle of the nicest part, still thinking on how to save it. Wasn't sure of the combo at first but I think it'll be nice after some finish. Only bad thing is I missed poundage by 10 pounds.

Run your belly glass thru the riser. Then you can use the crotcheood as a grip overlay. Then it is no structural for the most part.

Is that the same cedar you see growing along the hiways and fence rows? Most have an abundance of limbs.

I wish!  This is what grows on the side of the road out here in the nether regions;
