Speaking of age....
I was feeling mine today. I'm a little lite on years compared to some of you gents, but staying in shape is a lot more work than it used to be! I decided I had better start training for Elk season and strapped on a 30# pack and did a 2500' climb, 11 mile hike. It kicked my A$$ :deadhorse:
I've been hiking and MTB'ing this summer, but the weight was the spanker. I can see a lot of pain between now and Bow season. :scared:

I've been doing a lot of scouting between 10,500 and 12,500.  It's definitely talking to me about the years!

Yeah, it's pretty thin up there.   It's too hard on this old body to set a comfy base camp and hike it in every day so I'll be living like a tortoise, home on my back.  My speed is also comparable.  :)

Now I get why you are up so high! Not for the Elk. I've spent  many years getting high in the Rockies and can count the number of Bighorn's I have seen. It's a mystery to me, how you can get close enough to one in the terrain they inhabit, to shoot one with a Bow.

Hey, Flem, it's a mystery to me too. LOL

Figuring it out is the whole deal.  In my travels so far I quit counting elk at 60!

Opened up my mailbox and it was like Christmas morning...

I am going to use the release as a tool to work on my form...

If you guys make more than six bows a year you have to get a inflatable rolling pin sander... They do a thorough job and save you tons of time...

I assume the sander turns. Air pressure or what?

I have one like that, I think my pump is not the correct one, it's hard to get the pressure right. When I disconnect it the pressure runs out.
What's the name brand of your pump.?

I used one of those before, but it was solid body. So that one gets inflated, and then spun with a hand drill? If it has a Schrader valve, you might replace the valve core to see if it holds air

Sheep about a mile and a half.  16 rams.

Also a hundred or more elk 1/2 mile away.

Looks like fun!
You might need one of these in that Alpine terrain :bigsmyl:

Mark...  Yes I know what you mean...  I tried the hand pump...  Did not work...  They said don't over inflate or it could damage the tool...  I used the blow tool with a rubber tip...  I just gave it a quick three or 4 shots of air until I got the right amount of inflation..  Sometimes you don't have to depress the pin inside an air valve to inflate things...  Probably when there is little to no pressure inside of what you are inflating...

If it is critical on air pressure you need an air regulator inline to keep from blowing you tool out.
High on Archery.
