Either James or David Knight(RIP), Shawn. Rob came out with a nice shooting bow. He may have taken a bear with that bow.

Thats fantastic. Not sure i saw it finished up.

I just returned from hog hunt. Have to decide where i will hunt elk this fall soon. Leaning on Idaho hard again.

Either way it will be done by time The Classic arrives.

Sounds like an exciting adventure. How did the hog hunt go?

We took seven between two fella's. All small and mediums. They are eradicating them where we hunted which is good. Deer are coming back and turkeys too.

Feral hogs are the devil on native species and the trees, ground, dirt, etc. They eat anything that moves and lots that don't. I saw more deer this trip than in 5 preceding years combined in southern GA.

Its federal land and now they have lots of folks trapping them in big pens and it's keeping the numbers in check. Hope their deer herds recover! Actually saw a nice buck still chasing does.

Fun hunt. We used the elk camp tent. Cut wood on post and did it just like elk camp. Do it every Jan or Feb. Make them piggy's scream.

Is that the Okefenokee. We used to spend lots of time at Steven Foster St. Park near Fargo, GA.
Feral hogs are a scourge. I haven't had many opportunities to hunt hogs but it a an animal I'd like to hunt.
Now, back to the Tennessee Classic...a good place to practice for a fall elk hunt.

Trying to get out from under this Tin to get some shooting in between the rain. Feb has been frog and duck weather.

That's part of your training for the Classic. I've spent many hours under the tin at Twin Oaks, some wet, some dry.

Yep Pat

Prolly put 20hrs a week under there either helping with projects or the fellas helpin with yer projects. Always into somethin!

Some times its road kill supper, sometimes its hanging moose horns or making 700 brats.

Just never know what’ll come down the hill. Always a surprise.

The saying i always hear is “waste not, want not”. I have come to appreciate this a great deal.

Good day to make bows. Got another huge rain coming in of the Gulf Of Mexico. Got a splice R & D that needs to get on Jig and get some wrinkles out.

We've had over 10" of rain in the last 5 or 6 days. Added to the 140" we had last year I should be ready for Twin Oaks come rain or shine.  :bigsmyl:     As you know a little rain never stopped bow building or shooting at Twin Oaks.   :archer:   :archer2:

I here ya Pat. This morning I'm looking out my back by my garden. I think I could paddle over to my buddies just across the way.

Rain started yesterday late morning and it's been at it hard all night. I feel for them fellers up at Buck Holler for their Spring Fling.

Will go up tomorrow Sunday to access the damage and shoot when the sun pops out. Bring my Lacrosse knee boots though. I know Clarksville downtown went passed 30ft flood stage early last nite on the Cumberland.

TOBH puts on mighty good free feed on Sat night of the Tenn Classic shoot!! Like Christmas and Thanksgiving in one meal. Cost is free to all. Great folks and times at a pristine southern farm location.
