Had really good success (and economical) using burlap feed sacks (from feed and grain) stuffed with plastic from pallet packaging at local stores.  The bags are perfect for body size and the brown burlap is just like a deer hide/color.  I hang them up using a pvc frame or down in my woods from tree limbs.  You can even be creative and attache leg and a neck if you want.  I just shoot the "body."   I painted some black like a bear.

Bears can attack people- although fewer people have been killed by bears than in all WWI and WWII combined.

I shot the rhineheart woods buck in half in 3 months :deadhorse: and the broadhead buck in 6. :banghead: I have had  the R&W med deer target going on 3 years and still have yet to shoot a hole through it ( no broad heads in any target) . The r&w have replacement mid sections at an affordable price  :bigsmyl:

Have to look st R&W.  My Rhinehart woodland boar is holding up well but I'd like a deer target as well.

What I would do is buy the largest BLOB target you can afford and them buy target faces for it.  I have owned some blobs and they're the most dense and durable targets i've shot.  My only complaint is not buying one of the huge ones when I was at tannehill last year.  Don't worry, I wont make that mistake twice!

I'm coming back with a huge one this year and I know it'll last close to a decade.

I just sent a request to R&W for the current prices of their deer and boar targets. They looked pretty good.

Optics Planet carries R&W targets....how about this BEER target?  :biglaugh:  That one would give a person a LOT of body to shoot at!

I have had no luck with the Delta targets for a long time now.  IMO...junk.   I usually just use a bag target or the Block target.  I've definitely been thinking about the R&W targets, so glad to hear good comments here.  I have read that the models that have just a replacement piece in the middle of the body are so thin near the bottom they can easily crack, so if I were to get one, I'd choose something like the Big Buck Deer where the entire middle with a front leg is one piece.

I'd be interested if there is a difference between direct pricing vs Optics Planet.

that's good to know.  I'll try to pick one up at a shoot this summer.  I shot through my rhineharts way too quick.

Had a Blob best broad head target ever!  BUT heavy as sin the UPS driver couldn't get it off the truck without :scared: help and I could only move it with a hand :banghead: truck. weather proof but very hard to pull field pointed arrows out :archer2: great with broadheads
I forgot to add with the R&W targets I cover the body with coffee bag burlap(heaviest I can find) same color as a deer(looks like fur) blocks the uv rays and hides the scoring rings/ arrow  :archer2: damage. Must look real had some bucks on trail cam try to " :bigsmyl: date" her.

I personally like the Glendale buck....a little blocky looking, but it’s easy to rotate the insert or change if needed.

I’ve had pretty good luck so far with a Rinehart “woodland boar” and a blem “woodland strutting turkey”. I picked the turkey up from Big animal at TBOF last year, less than a C note. The majority of my shooting is at a big block of foam I got at Elberton’s last shoot, what 15 years ago? I spray paint 5 dots on it and it’s lived outside all this time.
