Over the years, there have been some outstanding shooters at the Howard Hill Classic, traditional archery event.

BUT, it's not all about the competitors at this event. It is really about family, friends and camaraderie. At this year's Howard Hill Classic / IBO Mid America held at Tannehill State Park in McCalla, AL, May 31, JUNE 1 & 2, 2019 ~ I certainly expect no less from the great folks that will attend this year as well.

Well folks, I ordered the 25 brand new RINEHART targets for the HH Classic today.
They'll be delivered with the 40 RINEHARTS for the two IBO courses.

I also want to let everyone know that each target on the HH Classic course will be different, no duplicates.

I think everyone will have a blast shooting these outstanding targets.

Folks, while you're here and need to catch your breath from flingin' all those arrows at the Howard Hill Classic / IBO Mid America traditional archery event., there is plenty to explore at Tannehill State Park if you're into history.

The museum is a fascinating place to start, not to mention the furnace, actually used during the War Between the States. There is so much to do here at Tannehill State Park, don't miss this event May 31, June 1 & 2, 2019 in McCall, AL. By the way, you don't have to join the IBO to shoot this event.

A couple of photos in the Iron & Steel Museum, but there is a lot more to see and it is very interesting.  Take a breath while you rest your fingers from enjoying shooting the courses.

OK, there's gonna be FOUR Shoot Downs at the Howard Hill Classic / IBO Mid America.

What's everyone shooting for?

On Friday, the 1st at 4 PM, is the team shoot with some Lady picking her partner, could be one or more Men.  The winning team splits a Cash Prize.

The 2nd at 4:30 PM, is the Last Man Standing, the Winner also gets a Cash Prize and from what I've heard, a pretty cool Trophy.

On Saturday, the 1st is at 4 PM, the Men's & Women's Self Bow Shoot-Down.  The two winners split a Cash Prize.

The 2nd is the ShowCase Shoot Down Championship at 4:30 PM.  The top 15 Men from the Orange Stake, the Top 15 Men from the White Stake and the Top 15 Women from the White Stake all compete and each have a !st, 2nd & 3rd Place Winner from those three competitions.

NOW, I haven't been told what the 1st Place Winners will receive, but I do know what the 2nd & 3rd  will receive.  The 2nd Place Winner will have His or Her choice of either a Block Target from Bass Pro Shops, valued at $80.00 or $50.00 donated from American Traditional Archer.

Start practicing y'all.

FYI folks, the scoring system for ALL TARGETS are center 11, 10, 8 & 5 points.

If an animal is made with a rock or a stump attached and you hit that, NO POINT FOR YOU, LOL.

FOLKS, THE NEW RINEHART TARGETS ARE HERE!!!

Folks, for those of you that have attended the HH Classic for years, I've always used McKenzie Targets.

I'm so excited to be able to provide these new RINEHART targets for you.

I have no doubt you'll enjoy shooting the HH Classic course as well as the IBO, because there are different targets on both.

See y'all soon!

THREE WEEKS FROM TODAY!!!

Folks, this will be my 15th year for the Howard Hill Classic.  When I started, my goal was to only do this FIVE YEARS.

Wow, how time flies.

I hope everyone has enjoyed attending as much as I've enjoyed doing the HH Classic over these many years.

I am also hoping you all will help me make this Classic, one of the best.

I'm going to camp out as usual at the Holiday Inn on Academy, ten miles East of the shoot.  Looking forward to the event.   Always fun to hang with so many other Trad-folks.   My latest craze is a Hill Wesley Special.   Grip it right and it's a dream.   Grip it wrong and it's a scream.
See ya Terry and yours.

Folks, I got a photo yesterday of the IBO's "Last Man Standing" trophy, WOW!  And don't forget, this event also has a full cash payout.

Dang sharp and no doubt it'll look outstanding on any desk or mantle.

I'll post the photo as soon as I figure out how to get it from my phone to my computer, LOL.

FOURTEEN DAYS FROM TODAY!!!

Folks, if you haven't started making plans to be here, you might want to start.

There's so much going on it's hard to list it all.

If you're not worn out from flinging arrows and having fun at the end of this event, it's your own fault, LOL.
