Need Help with Kids Arrows

I need some of ya'll to bail me out, here. I recently introduced a young man (11 yrs. old) to trad archery. This kid is a hunting fool. He showed enough interest in shooting my daughters Longbow that I recently bought him a longbow through Black Rhino. He wanted a bow that he would eventually be able to hunt with (40# in OH) . So I ordered the bow 45#@28 which at his Draw (23") would be 33#...about. What arrows do ya'll recommend? Wood or Aluminum? What size or spine? Thanks in advance fellas! DAVE

Oh before I get lectured on too much weight( for the kid). He's kind of an exception. He pulls my daughters longbow which is 25#@23" all day.

Dave, I would set him up with some 1816 or 1916 aluminum.  Kids are hard on arrows and wood just never seems to last very long.

1616 or 1716s would be a much better choice. 1816s and 1916s are going to be real stiff on that set-up at his draw even full length.

I have some blue 1814 on here. I probably have some more similar kids arrows. If they will work for you, you can have them for the shipping>

Vermonster13 is right about the 1716 for that bow but once he is drawing only 2 more inches or 6 pounds he will be in the 1816 class according to the easton chart.  I would just get him the bigger arrows to start and that way at the rate kids grow you wouldn't have to buy new arrows in a few months!!
