1967 Bear Tigercat
« on: March 31, 2008, 01:48:00 PM »
I recently got this bow on auction and wanted to show it off a bit.  This bow is flat-out gorgeous.  A 1967 Bear Tigercat, Zebrawood with brown glass.  There isn't a flaw on this bow and it looks like it was refinished.

It's 62",  50#,  RH,  with white fiberglass tip overlays.  I shot a few arrows from it immediately and it shoots as good as it looks.  These old Bears are something.

George, how did you turn that righty into a lefty in the last pic? I remember seeing that bow on the auction site that can not be named.   "[dntthnk]"

I fixed it Brent 8^)...it was a photobucket anomaly.  It looks fat in that last photo but it's not.  Some pretty zebrawood.  I'm taking her to the woods in about ten minutes 8^).

I still have your address Brent and will be sending you something in the next few weeks.  Don't worry, it won't hurt ya'.  ;)

I was afraid that you had warfed it.  :scared:
Long, long afterward, in an oak I found the arrow, still unbroke;
And the song, from beginning to end, I found again in the heart of a friend.

great bow, George!    I'm thinking about getting a patch made:    "Vintage Archery - Old Men... Old Bows"   :^)

Hi George-I've got the little brother to that one. It's just like it only 43# and it shoots like a dream also. Hap

Dandy looking bow George.  My son got one from his grandpa (given to him by his dad)who lived near Grayling at the time. It's a 1970 Tigercat with the rosewood handle. Limbs have yellowed, but it's a nice shooter. Those old Bear recurves are just plain fun and nostalgic.     :thumbsup:
