« on: March 31, 2008, 04:56:00 PM »
Hey Gang,
anyone know where I can get a hold of some cordovan material for making shooting tabs?  I haven't had much luck in my search.  Thanks, Matt

Thanks for the link Biff, but I couldn't find any cordovan material on their site.

I went to Tandy Leather Co and picked out some good leather scraps with the right thickness that I wanted, cut my tabs and they work perfect! I paid about $5.00 for the leather that I'll be able to get about 6 tabs out of!

Try this site. I just bought a piece and it seems to be pretty good quality. It is quite a bit thicker than the plain cordovan 3-under tab I bought from Alaskan bowhunting supply, which I'm not sure is good or bad. I still need to cut a tab out of it and try.

Thanks Jeff, I just ordered some from them. Sounds good as I like it thicker anyways.  Cheers, Matt
