Quick Whisperstick?...
« on: March 31, 2008, 07:43:00 PM »
These are some very informal numbers.  The chrono used has showed an average of 8 fps slower than another one I have used.  I am sure it could be lighting, calibration and a host of other things. The faster chrono is not available at this time to compare. This is what I got Saturday.

Whisperstick Mojo 53@28 60" pulled to 30" where it is 59@30".  Osage and yew limbs.

535 grain axis        196 fps.
610 grain axis        186 fps.
This was an average of six shots with the highest and lowest thrown out.
I shoot split finger with a tab.  This was done with bow hush and hushpuppies installed.  These are the same arrows just went from 125 grain heads to 200 grain heads.  The arrows are a shade weak with the 200 grain heads.  The best thing of all is this sucka is quiet!!!And I beleive she likes heavy arras

Axis 400 with 100 grain brass inserts.
I am most impressed with how quiet this bow is.  I still need to do some tweaking on spine but these are real close with the side plate built out a little.  Most bows I have shot showed a 10 fps difference every 50 grains.  This bow it is 75 grains.  I like the idea that she likes heavy arras.  This is a true hunting bow!
