Not seeing what you done with the conduit?

LOL, technically conduit was the wrong word to use. What I did was put an allen wrench in the head of the bolt then heated the allen wrench which in turn heated the bolt without exposing the limb or riser to the direct heat of the torch.

Hmm looking at the pic it appears you got the allen wrench pretty hot. I figured heat would work but never thought it would transfer that good thru the wrench.
Yes sir Roy slow and through  :biglaugh:

Roy you talking about the green dust collector by your band saw. If thats a 1 horse I got one and it aint much. The bigger black one there probably a two horse motor will do a lot better. Iam set up like you with a shop vac But I need to upgrade.

Those dust bags "suck" but not in a good way.  They restrict exhaust flow a good bit affecting the efficiency of the machine, plus they don't filter the fine particles which are the ones that are most harmful.
With a few drawbacks like angry close by neighbors and removing heated or cooled air from your shop, exhausting outside is more efficient and better for your lungs.  This 2hp machine does "suck" but in a good way.  The last run on my setup is the bandsaw and I can't open the bottom access door without significant force because the suction is so strong.
I'm happy with my purchase.  Get a 20% coupon if you buy it...https://www.harborfreight.com/70-gal-2-hp-heavy-duty-high-flow-high-capacity-dust-collector-61790.html

If you do have to filter inside your shop upgrading to a Wynn type filter is much better than the bags.  https://wynnenv.com/products-page/woodworking-filter-pricing/35a274nano-cartridge-kit/
But they cost a good bit and even the good ones are questionable at filtering all the fine particles.

Sorry for the detour from the bow swap.  My new shop was just supposed to be my slacker's excuse.

Yeah a little of that too.   :bigsmyl:  I've been dreaming of a shop of my own since I was a teenager.  Now I'm 35, so I'm pretty pumped about it.

Skeat, that is too bad. When gluing up something I always tell myself to double check, but still I mess up sometimes. My latest was getting saran wrap between the glass and wood. :banghead:
Nice looking risers David and Yew is always nice.
4 point, almost finished, looking great.

Yeah, I got newspaper between once.  At least there was something to read while sitting on stand.  Bow broke but the part with the newspaper survived. :)

That's pretty perfect Bue.  Not surprised with how meticulous you seem to be.

Thanks for the comments guys. Next step is to glue in the I beams, then I’ll start getting set up to make the limbs. There’s a bunch of really nice bows being built. I’d be thrilled to receive any one of them.
