Not gonna mention any names here.

But a guy who just got a new bow is skeered to take it outside and shoot because it's snowing and freezing rain.

WTH?

I didn't say I wouldn't take it outside. I said it wouldn't be a good day for pictures. I still plan to shoot it tonight. But a bow like this deserves better lighting...  :readit:

Stic, you got some cojones! Did not think anyone would actually go pink. Got to say, it looks pretty cool. Love seeing wild colors on Bows

I like the pink Mike, adds character. You just need to give it to a boy named Sue.

Back in the day when I shot training wheels (can I even say that here?  :banghead:) I had some pink and purple strings made up. I took a lot of grief over that but everyone agreed they looked sharp.

Full draw from my good side:

From my bad side:

I realize I didn't get the best picture of brace, so here is something close:

And my first end at what's normally my point on distance of 35 yds:
(not bad for old, untuned arrows me thinks)

And now for the best parts!

First, Travis kept with the pink theme for this year's swap, although it's a bit subtle and I love it. The lams all have this pink feathering in the wood close to the riser:

If you remember, Travis said he rushed this build for a reason to be divulged later. And he hinted to me that since I knew who was building my bow, he wanted to include an extra twist as a bit of surprise. I was very surprised when I saw this:

Turns out, Barry was going to be speaking at his state bowhunter convention at the end of February and he had it in his head to get me Barry's autograph. Talk about a little extra mojo, thanks Travis!!!

I'm truly humbled not only by this bow from Travis, but by bows that everyone in the swap and on the bench continue to make and share on the forum. I've learned a lot here and it's pretty much the only online forum I still check with any kind of regularity. Thanks.
