I am certainly glad I am not making my living by making take down recurves. It would be a meagerly hourly pay, but it is interesting though.

And a possible core, walnut and maple awood glued up with tapers of .004 “ PI tapers . In theory the thick end of maple at bow center for stiffness and the walnut reversed for light tips ...

Wow! That  looks like modern art Kennym. I wish I could picture what those combos would look like, but my mind is blown out :notworthy:

Kenny you put more work in your cores than most put into the whole bow :archer2:

That's funny, I was just thinking it looked like it was taken right out of the 60's/70's

Kenny, I like the mostly maple limbs with mostly walnut riser.  But I don't have a dog in this hunt.

Kenny I think you got them paired up right. Makin my head hurt with all that thick and thin talk.  :biglaugh: That glued with smooth on? I am thinking walnut actionwood may be something for a light limb core.

Got word that my Cactus juice will be here tomorrow. Then I can post pics of the stabilizing setup. I will weigh a block before and after. I am thinking pert near double in weight with the maple.

Finally got a break from pushing snow around and was able to get my other piece of glass done.
Guess I'm going to have to glue this thing up next week. Now I just have to figure out a warm place to spray the sucker.
