I saw Canopy's post about his 2 pc takedown problem from 2016.  I didn't look at the link because I didn't want to be deterred from taking on this 2 pc. Sooo since my bow is now cut in 2, I looked at the link.  Now I'm nervous.  Hopefully my glass-less tenon holds up.  I've seen many examples of all wood bows working, but I'm still nervous.....Fingers crossed.

I’ll be sure to film it for you.  I may have to borrow skeeters hat.

How’s that rotten hackberry and plastic bow coming Roy?   :)

No Ibeam. Probably be ok with those accents as long as it is not too heavy. I got one out there that has a wood Ibeam. only 40 lbs. though.

Didn't work out cause when I cut the pieces off I wanted, the design in the wood was pretty much on the surface.
It's on hold now.

Benton good idea on the wrapping jig. Getting the bulk of the clamps out of the way. I will do that mod. on mine.

Benton -- Some words of encouragement?
1 - Your tenon looks way more massive than mine did.
2 - You've got more osage in there.
3 - At least mine came apart (the other risk with what you're about to do.)
4 - If it does break, it will probably happen slowly; you'll have lots of warning.

Seriously, I think you'll be fine, but I've still got my fingers crossed for you. I have not built an all-wood one since or ever will. Once burned, twice shy...

Thanks for the words of encouragement. But my bow is fine. Underweight, but fine.  :biglaugh:
