We are supposed to hit about -20 with the wind chill.
I’m trying to decide if I’m tuff/dumb enough to attempt a hunt. Only five days left :o

If I do, I’ll probably dig out my old waterfowl gear. Including parka and the neoprene chest waders with woolies over top.  Just the thought of sitting in a tree stand in chest waders seems a little crazy.

I’ll have to do a test in the yard tomorrow to see if I can even shoot with that much bulk on.

Don't do it, trust me.  Your bow string will freeze at full draw.  Then you'll have to pry the frozen arrow off the shelf, carry the bow home still at full draw and set it next to the wood stove.  When it finally thaws out it'll dry fire.   :scared:

Seriously, stay safe and warm everybody.  The cold air will be hitting northern NY tonight. :campfire:

I guess it could be done but doesn’t sound like much fun to me.
After carrying mail for years in weather like this (NW MN), I don’t much care to be out in it now.  I know how to dress to stay warm in extreme cold, but I don’t think I’d enjoy it, or shoot that well.

Only -23 (-51 with the wind chill) here in northern Illinois. Think I have better things to do than freeze my butt off. Did that/done that when I was a kid growing up in northern Minnesota, young and stupid.  For those of you that do go out, dress warm and be careful!

There is no mail here today anyway. They canceled mail delivery because of the cold. It was -28 still at 8:30 this morning. I think we are supposed to have a high of -15. I don't even want to talk about the wind chill.  :help:

I will be hunting though...for another cup of coffee!  :coffee:
