I’ve only lost a couple to coyotes out of hundreds of deer. I almost always go back to the truck or house and get help and change before going to retrieve if the weather allows. I did lose one to coyotes this year I shot with a homemade trade point. The shot was perfect but the deer just walked off with the arrow sticking out both sides of the chest. I wanted to wait a bit to make sure it was dead. I had to do a thing with my daughter for a little bit and my dad decided tontravk for me. He thought he jumped it but it turned out it was another deer and move was laying dead within feet of him. We went back in 1 hour later and the coyotes had come in during that last hour and completely destroyed my deer. Unfortunately it does happen.

Awesome  :clapper: I live in a very chert rich environment if ya need anymore. I've got numerous 5 gallon buckets filled with brokes, preforms and crude points I've picked up through the years. My buddy must know a pretty good knapper he laid out a 8" Scottsbluff on a site I hit often, sorry sucker lol.

I think a stone point harvest is one of the coolest achievements in Bowhunting. Congratulations Sir! Great Job.
