I am currently shooting 30" BOP 65-70 wood shafts with 125 grains, and they shoot well. These are 11/32 diameter.
So, I was thinking about having two sets of arrows, one of which would be carbon, thus bringing me to my question. I know diameter of the shaft affects tuning to an extent, but I am not sure how much, and carbon spines are wide ranged.
The carbon shafts would be 30.5" long with footing, and I don't mind having 175 grains up front, but probably not much more than 200 grains. Would I want to get 3555 or cx 150 or the 5575 or the cx 250 shafts? Which would be the best setup for tuning and about 480 grains total arrow?
My bow is a Zipper recurve with standard riser, D97 string, 48# at my draw length of 29.25"
Thanks
