Some of the things we'll be doing at this event include shooting at 3-D targets all day long in a couple of different formats. We will have our usual 20-target course plus a 5-target Iron Man course. We will also have a five target coon shoot on Saturday night after dark. In addition, there will be a pot luck supper on Saturday night at 6:30 p.m. What's a pot luck supper? It's where participants bring a dish that they have either prepared or purchased to share with the group. If everyone brings a little something, there's plenty to go around.
In addition, there will be hunting equipment demonstrations going on during the day on Saturday as well. We will have several different brands of tree stands and climbing sticks to show you. We will have a tree saddle demo. We will have safety gear demos. So, you can see some of the gear that folks are using, learn how they use it, learn how they've modified it to make it more efficient, etc.
We will have a selection of broadheads available for you to try if you're looking for something different. We will help with bare shaft tuning if you need to do some of that. We will have a variety of field points of different weights for your tuning well. We will also have a hand held bow scale available so you can know your true draw weight. And we will have a chronograph set up so you can know what your arrows are doing speed wise.
We will not provide a lunch on Saturday but we will have drinks available for sale. Maybe snacks of some sort as well, but no meal at lunch time.
Sunday, we will have our regular format.
Lunch will be available on Sunday only at the same rate we always have. We ask for a $5 donation per person to help defray the cost of the groceries.
Both days will include hourly drawings for Lancaster Archery gift cards. These have been graciously provided by our friends at Lancaster Archery to help us promote our event.
This event is being brought to you by the North Georgia Traditional Archery Club and Lancaster Archery.
