Looks like a fun trip Wayne. Glad to see you got to bring home the bacon. That’s a pretty nice hog.

Loved the markings on this guy. He was in the 150-160 # range. Although he wasn’t weighed, I’m pretty sure about the estimate because Don took another boar a little later in the morning, about the same size, and he was weighed.

Here is David’s “Fatty”. Fatty weighed in at 190#. This was the biggest hog of the trip. (Well, we all ate well while on this trip.)  :goldtooth:

Don’s first boar. This one was taken Sunday morning, shortly after I took my sow.

Wow Jim, what a hog! We really appreciated the use of your trailer. And I want to apologize (publicly) for sending you those pics without knowing your “situation”.

I spent the last evening fishing and packing up for the trip home. As I fished around the edge of the lake, I came to a brush choked section of shoreline that forced me up onto the two track that circles the lake. As soon as I stepped onto the road, I heard a grunt to my left. Two pigs, a red one and a black one scurried away into the brush.

Then I seen a bald eagle fly over me, and then over the lake toward the setting sun. I thought about how we are all headed toward our own “sunset” and that every day is a good one, some are just better than others.

I’d just spent a few great ones with friends both new and not so new. I look forward to what else lies ahead, especially next year’s hog hunt with these same guys!

Thanks for “coming along”.

My "situation" is... I'm CHEAP.  I don't use the cell phone much so I have a tracfone and buy minutes annually.   :)

As for the trailer, you're most welcome.  You know where it is, so any time you need it, just let me know.

I knew Jim's "situation" needed an explanation.  :saywhat:  It was a great time and I too have our dates for 2020. My first trip to Osceola Outfitters was with Jim the first year he went.  I have been there every year since as well.

The years accumulate on old friendships like tree rings, during which time a kind of unspoken care and loyalty accrue between men.

Glad to hear Jim's situation wasn't terminal!!!!  Cell phones can be a blessing and a curse!
