I use an Ameristep 1/2 blind so I don't have contend with a roof. Then I use one of my dad's box calls and a diaphram call. I use the same archery tackle as I would for deer.

Built a new 58" longbow in case I use the blind. Double Bull Matrix (which I hate sitting in any blind) .

Bow is 48# , will use some Beman 400s with a big Magnus 2 blade on the front.

Also have an ASAT leafy I'm gonna try on them before the blind comes out.

I used to get sick of packing turkeys out, but cured that prob by going trad bow instead of shotgun and no blind!!  LOL
Stay sharp, Kenny.

Gonna be the deer setup. 50 lb Martin Hatfield, 4 fletch cedar arrow (wild turkey feathers, good MOGO 😀) with a W W broadhead. Will try a string tracker this year with a Big Mike blind. 40 year old box call and some cheaper dekes to round out the illusion.

I’m handling 20# fine and I ordered 30# limbs which should be here tomorrow. My original 40# limbs are a no go unfortunately. If I can handle 30# do you think I should try it on them or am I asking for trouble?

I'm working on a new bow now, just for turkey season. Can't wait! I missed season last year due to some family medical issues, first season I missed in almost 20 years. Just made a new call, next is the bow, and then some new bamboo arrows. As far as the blind goes, I'll be sitting in the dirt somewhere, just up against a tree.

How do you like that shack attack blind.  Im looking into getting a blind that will work for bows up to 62" without having to lean to much to not hit the roof.  DO the windows go low so you can shoot something at like 5 yards?
