Exactly what constitutes a Forward handle..?  Does the grip have to be cut way past the center line.   I know lousy drawing.

I awhile back took my Hyper Stic from a normal to a forward handle. I kept the front profile of the bow and just moved the riser to the front. Now the belly profile is what used to be the front. I will take a pic later for you.

Mike, how did the characteristics of the bow change when you moved the handle forward on your Hyper Stic?

I have my guesses, but want to see the difference with a direct comparison like this.

I asked the same question a while back.

I read it..   Its funny because a lot of dynamics change like brace height, cast etc.   If it makes for a smoother bow I'm all for it.

IMO, a handle riser added to the back of a bow would be a forward handle no matter how it relates to the tips.

I'm with you Pat. When I think of a forward handle, I think of the turkish horn bow handles.

I really dont know from a technical stand point what makes a forward handle bow but what I know is like the way they shoot , its hard to put in to words but I just feel more part of the bow they seem more forgiving & user friendy paticularly with short bows ,I have been shooting them for 25 yrs with the BW take down that was my first exsperience with them and been stuck on them sense !
If you fear failure, you will never try ! But never except it!!
