I don't understand why it would be considered crazy? Go for it.

Bowfishing is a lot of good things but definitely wet and often times nasty. Doesn't take much of a bow/rig to shoot them with authority. 35-40# is plenty. Save your Widow.

I can't think of a better use for a Widow than to have holes drilled in it and to be bouncing around a boat and/or at the bottom of the river
Did I miss the pics of your new bow??

I have decided to stop messing around with trading and such. I shoot my RER Arroyo like there is no tomorrow!! I did just buy a new PSE Kingfisher for bowfishing and actually sold it to Marlk Fedrizzi and changed my mind, sent him is money back today!! I have decided to make this Widow my beater bow. I hope this cures me of my sickness!! I have decided to buy the strap on adapter though. I better kill some fish!!!

Dern right Shawn,
You have inspired me! I'm heading out right now to put mud tires on my wife's Mercedes coupe.

If you are going to put a stabilizer insert in a new widow send it back to Black Widow and let them do it right. They do add factory bushings for free. Sent mine back for sight bushings and a plunger bushing. All it cost me was shipping. Factory installed bushings hurt the bows value less than if you do it yourself.
