Shooting 3 under on bow tillered for split?

Is there a problem with shooting a recurve that is tillered for split when you shoot 3 under?

I'm no theoretical expert, but I do it all the time.   Just raise the nock from the usual roughly 3/8" to 1/2" to roughly 7/8".    I've even rigged a couple of bows with two nocks and shoot it both ways... 3 under for close shots and split for longer.  May not be perfect but it seems to work for me.  I'll be interested in other comments

Thanks Dick. Hope others have experience with this too.

I shoot 3 under & 1/2 my bows are tillered for split. My experience is exactly as Dick says, just raise the nocking point up til ya get good arrow flight.

To fine tune, bare shaft up close 1st, then move back as you make adjustments until you're happy, or at least satisfied with the arrow flight.

Broadhead tuning, I just shoot all my tipped hunting arrows thru several layers of cardboard & confirm that there's no problems with their flight. Such as fletch bounce etc. Usually I'll shoot each one 3 times. Cull any duds to fix later & sharper the rest moderately. Fine sharpen usually the night before a hunt etc.

I shoot 3 under also, on bows tillered for split.  I just raise my nock point to about 1/2 inch above square and it works for me.  Mark

I do it with no issues whatsoever.  Nock point on all my bows is +3/8" - +4/8"...
