Takes me to a place I'd rather be............

Someday you and I will take the Great Hart by our own skill alone, and with an arrow. And then the Little Gods of the Woods will chuckle and rub their hands and say, "Look, Brothers. An Archer! The Old Times are not altogether gone!"

I took this picture last fall Salmon fishing along a river in northern Michigan. A couple of my buddies saw the snake actually stalk this frog. I came over to see what the commotion was about and the snake had ahold of the frog. At first he only had the frog by one toe, but he eventually worked him all the way down. I watched the whole thing. Definately one of the better pictures I've ever taken.

This buck was shot the evening before during a snowstorm. Had to go in the next morning by canoe to bring him out.

Ron,
Thanks for posting the canoe pics. That is one of my all time favorite "trad" pics.

First trad kill

Second trad kill

First knap

Im a little over a year into traditional gear. It has been a wonderful year. Firsts in a lot of ways...making arrows, knapping, traditional harvests. My best "first" of this year is this one....hands down.

Switching to trad has made everything sweeter somehow. Every experience means more. Makes me wish I listened to my Dad when he told me I didnt need one of those compounds....

The most fun I've had in a while 2008 winter bow with trad gangers in NJ

Just contemplating on a mid day break enjoying a foggy view.

Wonderful photos, everybody!

TexasBubba, can I make a special request?  There's a photo your brother took of you slipping through a shallow creek bottom with trees arching overhead.  You know the one?  You posted it a year and a half ago, maybe...  Would you mind posting that again if you can find it?  In my mind's eye, it's a truly great one.
