Gotta be a couple of my favorites    :bigsmyl:   ...Van

Dad with alligator in 1958.  The police later cited him with a $50 fine.  He shot it at a local park. 65# Yew wood BB backed longbow.  Police later took up a collection and raised $25 to pay half the fine.  Dad called the desk clerk first before he went to shoot the gator to make sure it was legal.  Officer on duty at the time was un-aware that gators were protected.  Dad was wearing his work cloths because he went to shoot the gator on the way to work.  Ya gotta kill 2 birds with one stone back then.  Today too     :D

Ben and Dad, Spring Bayou, La, mid 60's.  Ben with 76# @ 28" Bushmaster and Dad with 55# @ 28" Bushmaster. Both shooting BP  Micro-Flites and Deadheads...Van
Retired USAF (1966 - 1989)

Long, long afterward, in an oak I found the arrow, still unbroke;
And the song, from beginning to end, I found again in the heart of a friend.
