How to become a traditional archer.
« on: March 27, 2019, 12:35:38 PM »
This is a good process for getting to be a Traditional Archer .

After you get a decent bow and some arrows , get a decent target and backstop .
Now get a slingshot , ( don't have to be a very good one ) and a bag of marbles .
Now you are all set .
So here is the process ; take your bow and stand close to the target and shoot 5 arrows . Then take the slingshot and shoot a marble in the air at about a 45° angle and watch the marble as it fly's through the air and notice how it curves down . That will get your brain trained to understand trajectory .
Now pull the arrows and shoot 5 more arrows from about a foot further back and shoot another marble like you did before .
Keep repeating this process until all the marbles in the bag are gone .
Now when you have lost all your marbles you will be a Traditional Archer .

It's fixed now. Doesn't even give me the option to modify.
I got a message from Rob and he found the problem already.

I'm good to go now, got a bag of 1,000 marbles off the big auction site.

I'll be a trad archer by Sunday.

Good stuff here guys LOL.

Reminds me of the old cedar plank groundhog recipe:

      Kill groundhog, skin and clean.
Season liberally with garlic butter, salt and pepper.
Place on cedar plank and roast in oven at 300 degrees for 3 hours.
      Remove from oven.
      Throw away groundhog.
      Eat cedar plank.

No offense intended to anyone that eats groundhog.

I think my wife knows where my marbles and marble bag are, I'll have to ask her as I'd like to be a "trad' archer.
Prayer changes things.

A large snapping turtle is said to contain seven distinct types of meat, each reminiscent of pork, chicken, beef, shrimp, veal, fish or goat.

I use to trap turtles and have eaten a lot of them...they probably have attributed to my longevity

The little neighbor kids, they added one to the herd Monday, it is six now.  Anyway they want to shoot bows with me.  To test their desire I got three slingshots.  One took right off, he likes banging pop cans with marbles.  i will provide him with a bow to shoot this summer, he just turned 8.

If you lost your marbles, you can get white Wrist Rocket marbles, or two sizes, bigger or smaller, of steel Wrist Rocket shot if you want to kill something.   My three by rubber sling shot does not like the white marbles, it has a smaller pouch, so I use the steel.

I tried, but I can’t get my fletched marbles to group with my bare marbles.

Would heavier marbles help? Or do you think I’m gripping my slingshot too tight and torquing it?

Turtle, tastes like chicken! At least the ones we had in IL. As for marbles, mine got up, packed up and left. Kidding aside, when I was a kid used to buy a bag of a hundred for slingshot ammo. That lasted about a week.
