I have a Deadwood long bow and am looking for ideas on a bow quiver. if you recommend one, please give me some info as to why you like it....

I really like my Selway Quiver. It works well and it just looks cool IMO. I also like the way that it adds a little more weight to the bow, which I don't know if you prefer that or not.

Great Northern strap on. Can take it off without unstringing the bow, rides nice and tight.

If it’s a takedown bow, I’d recommend the Great Northern Quick Detach quiver. Sleek looks and super easy on and off the bow!

How many arrows would you like to carry on the bow? For 5, 4, or 3, I think the great northern is great. For 4, 3, or 2, Eagles Flight is also great. And for something a little different, the Eagles Flight 2 arrow Mesa Quiver is really cool. I use it for 3D. I keep my shooting arrow and a backup on my bow and a bunch of spares over my shoulder on a stalker style quiver. Works great.

I have been told I have a problem when it comes to buying quivers haha..

My preferred quivers are selway, Thunderhorn, and great northern

With that being said, I prefer great northern quivers for all of my longbows. They fit snug/won't slide, have a lower profile than the others on the slimmer limbed longbows, and with the strap design you are not limited to the limb itself and can strap the quiver to beefier parts of the riser when needed/desired.

On my recurves I tend to use selway or thunderhorn.

Hi Bob,

I've been using the 3 Arrow Tall Mesa Bow Quiver from Eagle's Flight Archery; really like this bow quiver.
I only use 2-blade cut on contact broadheads, so it's a perfect fit.
I really like the slim look of the quiver and I've never had an issue with arrows slipping out.
Don't know if you noticed, but I had it on my longbow this past weekend at Chamberlin.

I think it's best to find a mid ground in bow quiver length. There are many times that a short bow quiver is pretty handy. Most bow quivers today are 2 piece so they can be as long as the riser allows anyway.

It’s well made, the leather hood is reinforced to prevent broadheads from passing through when inserting them, the straps make it super quick and easy to put on and remove, they can custom color match it to your bow, the fixed design lets you place it just below the working limbs so it doesn’t affect tuning, the kickback is perfect, the arrow gripper spacing is tunable. It just works very very well. I wouldn’t change a thing about it.

I have an addiction to bow quivers. I love them. The top ones for me on a longbow are the Great Northern Longbow model or a Traditions Leathercraft. The Traditions Leathercraft is rock solid on a bow. You can't make it move. The Great Northern is always so easy to take on and off. Just a great all around quiver.

Thunderhorn Boa or a Selway are my preferred longbow quivers. Not impressed with a Great Northern.

I have a selway and a big Jim’s , both strap on . The straps on my selway eroded in 1-1/2 years . Now not sure if it’s the heat down here or what I’m in south fla .

Have thunderhorn boa's, and Lynx, great northern, and big jim. I will say I would never buy a two piece after owning my Lynx. It is really handy to be able to take my quiver off without having to remove my arrows. I like them all but my Thunderhorn Lynx is really solid, and my favourite quiver

I mainly shoot longbows and my favorite quiver is the Great Northern strap on. I have tried several others, but always come back to this one. It fits all of my bows very snug, is very close to the bow, holds 5 arrows, and can be taken off without unstringing the bow. Also it is of very good quality.
