Not to sure about the dumb part but I would look for something in Texas, Florida, Georgia, or South Carolina. There are some other states but all of these have good populations.

CK of 7th Age Bowhunting would be a good starting place for Texas.

I am sure other will be along with advice in some of the other states.

I have not hunted with CK yet but lots of TG members have. My current employer has me busy out of country for the next year or so, but CK's operation is on the top of my list when I get back. Just from what I have read he has a first rate operation. Some of his better known hunts are the Texas Sweat, and his hunts that are combined with bowyers like 7th Age meets Dyrad bows, Striker bows, and others.

Shoot him an email I am sure he can help you with the hunt you would like. Also he does bowfishing and frog hunts which from the TG video look like a blast.

You can also run a post asking member about Curtis Keller and 7th Age. I am sure you will get instant feedback from members.

Hope this helps,
Chris

Go to  www.happyacresresort.com  and on left side click on expeditions.  Very reasonable hog hunts.  PM me and I can give you more details.  I am going Father's Day wekend.

Curtis will put you on hogs no problem. He knows his hogs real good. I have hunted with Curtis four times now, bagged eleven hogs last trip!

Hey Hattrick - come down to Auss man.  We have heaps of the bludgers and they are really huge.  Would supply all the excitement you and your daughter could handle.

Eagel Eye,

I sent you a PM. That Happyacres Resort looks like a very reasonable place to hunt. Does that include lodging?

Out here on the West Coast, we have California but it is expensive, so I am looking to other states that have quality hunts and the guide and license fees are reasonable.

I would be interested in Texas information as well, but I want to hunt free range animals unless the property is massive and the hogs are completely wild.

Looks like a great deal at happyacres.  Is the season year round?
A dumb question too, are the hogs as tasty as I've heard?

Happy Acres has the rights to hunt on a piece of private land where the land owner wants the hogs thinned down.  The land owner restricted access during turkey season (April 1 to June 1) because he lives to turkey hunt.  Go to the web site and get their number.  Your contact is Gary Frye.  Or PM me your phone number and I will tell you everything I can about the place.

He's a sponsor here. Look at the top of the page under sponsors, then go to 7th age.

There are plenty of places here in Oklahoma.  If you don't mind hunting high fence areas, you will have better odds of putting your daughter onto a hog.  There is a ranch near Ada, Oklahoma that I have heard is a real good spot.  Also a place up near Pawnee (http://www.oklahomaboarhunters.com/).  Never hunted them myself, but know of guys at my office that had a blast there.
