Do yourself a big favor and get a copy of Black Widows Owners Manual Companion DVD and Scrapbook Vol.1 In it Ken Beck tells you ALL you will ever want to know about bareshafting and then some.Ken on top of being a true gentleman is one fine teacher and you can't go wrong with this DVD.

Don't make it more complicated than it has to be. Shoot at a BIG target backstop. Shoot bareshafts from 20 yards. If they "curve ball" to the right, shaft is too weak (for RH shooter). If they curve ball to the left, they are too stiff. Get the bareshaft to fly as straight as possible, then fletch them up and shoot with confidence in knowing you have the correct dynamic spine for your setup.
