Here’s another one. Jim at Centaur put the copper head skins on it. Did a awesome job.

I just got home from a work trip in Miami to a pleasant package from the Windauer’s! As I said previously, I got my one piece on a trade and quickly sent it back to the source to get doctored up and personalized. Many of you know I have always been biased to a certain builder quite similar to the Schafer design but man, this one piece just seems to fit... I have to say it is probably going to be my primary this year, and most likely let it fly with me to Montana for my pronghorn hunt in the fall! Just need to get a dang one piece case from the river guys....

I got home after dark but went and slung a couple dozen arrows regardless. The checkering made all of the difference, but the grip just fits me regardless! It points and shoots like none other.

Beth and Dave are a class act and encourage all of you that haven’t tried a Schafer to give them a whirl!

I’ll post  some pictures of it’s “makeover”

Hogless that is a very interesting bow made riser...Of course I’m very familiar with the finish work, and the artwork, and the shooting of the Schaeffers, but does that riser flex much like that?

I don't notice any flex in the riser.

At that point in the design I know know how you would see flex?? I'm a bit confused my Joseph71's question??

Oh well, I love my bow, and would love to have a double crescent one piece like HOGLESS2 at some point! I haven't shot a one piece recurve in more than 15 years and this thing is bad @$$.

First of all that bow is absolutely gorgeous hands-down.
But what I meant about flex is years ago I had a recurve riser that had a certain type of flare... I took the riser and traced it UNSTRUNG and then strung the bow and laid the riser strung on top of the pattern of the riser unstrung.... I was shocked at the amount of flex the riser had in it once strung, compared to the pattern of it unstrung... it shot well and never had an issue but it wanted a weak arrow for poundage...I figured I was loosing poundage with flex and this was why my arrows needed to be weaker than normal, idk....sometimes I turn a flea into a dragon with my thinking, lol but to answer what I meant about flex in riser: Dave is a great bowyer though and knows what’s right and that’s all that counts.

I see what you mean know! I don't see any noticeable flex on my riser other than the first 1" or so.

Awesome bow. I had a one piece and foolishly sold it. The only bow I wish I had back.

Reluctantly, I have a sweet, as new 1 pc for sale in the classifieds, at nearly half price. Great shooting/looking bow for sure.

I saw that Scott! I am trying to get my buddy Matt that I believe you have dealt with in the past to get it!
