I had a great trip to Ontario with some good friends! We setup a new bait and on the first evening the Trailcam showed a huge black bear found the bait first. Later that evening a beautiful chocolate phase showed up. We let it sit another day before going in to hunt it. When I arrived at the bait the chocolate was already there
It ran up the mountain and I quickly hung my stand and setup my video camera. Not even settled in good and the bear was headed back to the bait! I watched it feed for a couple hours hoping the huge black bear would return but after watching this beautiful chocolate I decided I wanted a color phase instead of another black bear. It took a while for the bear to offer a good shot. When it did I was ready
The distance was 13 yards, I was shooting the Palmer Longbow with a 150gr 2-Blade Magnus Stinger. Just a great hunt and an awesome bear!
I made a slide show of the trip but will eventually get the video of the hunt edited and posted.
