Swap bow success???
« on: June 17, 2019, 10:39:00 AM »
With this years swap wrapping up, I was curious......

I fully intend to use the bow I received to hunt with.  It may not be my primary bow, but it will definitely see some time in the woods this fall.

So I was wondering, has anyone from past swaps used the bow they received to successfully take any game? Pics?

Probably not. I’m sure I must have cut myself at least once while I was building my bow. 🙂

I don't hunt as much as I'd like to now days but I promise this, I will kill my fair share of time with my bows from last year and this year.

No success with one yet, but I've been so set on getting a deer with my own longbow for the last bazillion years that I haven't given them as much time in the woods as they deserve. This year will be different. Started tuning some new arrows to the bow, but didn't get all the way to perfect before I had to put it away for the night. Will finish up this weekend once back in town and start practicing all summer on the 3D courses with it.

Dave I'm jealous of your shooting skills! I consider myself a fair shot but my shot consistency is nothing compared to yours.

Haha. While I was shooting with my daughter she was all excited that I could hit the eye and nose of my 3D woodchuck. I neglected to tell her I was aiming for the scoring zone on the chest.

LOL that's why I like to shoot at targets that have circles all over them. your always bound to hit one and no one needs to know which one you were aiming at
