« on: June 18, 2019, 03:34:41 PM »
I missed this year due to things I had to get done at my hunting parcel. I sure missed going. So, How was it.

I really enjoy this weekend so any pic's or details would be great!

I a word Compton was GREAT!

More vendors this year, strong turnout of people, great member meeting and talk on Friday night, Monty Browning told an amazing Moose hunt story Saturday night, they Honored David Hewitt and his family, real nice raffles and prizes.

Compton is doing well and growing for sure.  It rained a lot on Thursday but Friday was perfect weather and not hot.  Saturday did have some afternoon rain but nothing to ruin the weekend.  The courses were changed up some which was nice and they moved the kids archery range.  Overall they did a great job with the event as always.  Auction had some real nice stuff in them also.  I shot till by shoulder was sore!

Bill, missed you being there. It was a great time. Couple of beautiful days, a few stinkers, but all in all it was great. Had some live music by your normal spot Thursday evening, they even managed to coax me into doing a few songs. I apologize to anyone who had to endure. Hope the tradition continues.

A guy from Waukesha WI won the dream raffle, did not catch his name to see if I know him. Bet I do. Monty called him on live mic, but we got the answering machine. He let a really funny message, he is a hoot.

Already looking to next year.

We could not go as well for the same reason as Bill. I sure would have liked to have heard Monty. It is always great to catch up with friends and Compton is hard to beat for doing that.

Yeah, I too missed it as our last had a graduation party!  I think he wanted to go to Compton's instead of having a party...
Can't wait until next year, planning on it already
