Repair of scratches and dings

Let me start off by saying that I know I'm not the sharpest tool in the shed.  I recently had my longbow on the roof of my car (which was parked on a slope) and while I was messing around with stuff in the back seat it slid off and hit the concrete.  It put a few scratches and small dings on one side.  Nothing structurally wrong as far as I can tell.  My only concern, other than my being an idiot (something for which I believe that there is no short term cure), is whether or not there is something that I should do to protect the bow from moisture at the damaged areas.  Any advice would be appreciated.

I use super glue to fill in dings and deep scratches. Fill them in and sand them out with fine paper. The glue gets hard when it sets so if your not carefull you've got bumps to sand out. Clear nail polish will also work.

Yes... Super Glue or Krazy Glue will do the trick keeping moisture outa your bow. Check the limb tips for chips. Look good at your string loops for damage. Same thing happens to me tooooo many times! My BW looks like it has the Chicken Pox.  :D

Nothing wrong with a few character marks.
If there is a ding it can sometimes be raised with a wet cloth and a iron. Do't use too much heat.
If you want the scratches gone I'd start with some fine sandpaper, Followed by some spray on poly. The gloss is the hardest. It can be dulled with some steel wool.
If you scratched through the finish at least use some poly.
