fletching jig help
« on: June 19, 2019, 06:08:44 PM »
I am new to this board, but the guys at 3 Rivers said maybe somebody here could help me. I am looking for right wing helical clamps for my JoJann multi arrow fletching jig. JoJann apparently went out of business about a year ago.

Thanks

A quick web search found some suppliers other than 3 Rivers who still list JoJan products for sale, including the big auction site whose name must not be mentioned here.  JoJan's closing must be fairly recent, because this is the first I’ve heard of it, so I would imagine there is still some product out there.

Unless you're committed to right wing, consider using left wing as well, in case right wing is hard to find.  Just don't mix the two when you make arrows.  Also consider straight, as recent studies indicate that straight works as well as helical, maybe better, although these studies are fairly recent and may be challenged as time goes on.

Moderators may want to move this post to PowWow, as there may be people who post there who have the clamps he is looking for who may be willing to part with them.

Thank you for the reply.

The guy at 3 rivers told me they had gone out of business within the last year. I even tried calling the number listed on JoJann's site, disconnected.

I have left wing clamps, but wanted to get my hands on right wing helical clamps. Straight would be fine as well. I love the multi-arrow capacity of the jig, too bad they went out of business.

Probably not a big help but we have one RW Jo Jan clamp on the used and collectibles page on Raptor Archery web site.
Its a start!

Not sure if he still has them, but Tom Parsons at Kimsha Archery had maybe 10 of them a while back to get rid of.  I dont remember if they were L or R helical.  Call and leave a message if he doesnt answer, he will call back.
