Youth bow recommendations
« on: June 21, 2019, 01:04:05 PM »
For a 5 year old. Would like it to last about 2 years for him. Don’t want to pay more than 200$ and that’s pushing it. Started him off on the little cheap 30$ from big5 growing out of it and needs a real stick bow not some plastic thing. Approx has a 19-20” draw right now. Would love him to be drawing around 10-15# right now. Pretty tall kid for his age, I’m 6’5” for perspective.

Thanks

Check out our Gryphon II bows.  Might be what you need.

I got a Maddog pup longbow for nephew and niece to use.  Very nice.  Right around $100.  Short story- nephew was shooting and getting a little bored as I ran out of ballons.  I said let's see how far it will shot and pointed toward the parking lot about 100 yards away.  I figured he might get 50 or 60 yards.  Arrow landed about 5 feet in front of my car- an honest 100 yards away.  My bad.

Black Rhino is another option.  My kids have had multiple Black Rhino and Maddogs - both have been great!!!!!

My 7 year old daughter loves her st Joe river bow. They have multiple colors to choose from and a trade up program. My 4 year old daughter is still in the el cheapo bow phase, but next year we will probably be looking for a pink one for her as well!

2 of my Grandsons have Maddog Pups. They got them 2 years ago and are 7 now. At 100 bucks they are as real as it gets in a kids longbow and you’ll put money in a hard working Americans pocket. They shoot 1200 spine PSE Razorbacks like nobody’s business!

I'll also recommend Mad Dog, Mike makes a great bow and really stands behind them! Denny
