pure poetry
« on: July 08, 2019, 01:14:20 PM »
I was going through some old archery related stuff today and came upon this poem I wrote years ago.
Thought y'all might get a kick out of it...

The reason I quit shooting a compound
was the copious amounts of beard hair found
at the nock on the string
from the arrows I'd fling
so a bandanna was used as a beard bound    :saywhat:
Make the most of all that comes and the least of all that goes!

In the beginner's mind there are many possibilities. In the expert's there are few...So the most difficult thing is always to keep your beginner's mind...This is also the real secret of the arts: always be a beginner.  Shunryu Suzuki
