I ended up with a slight gap in my glue line on the belly side of one of my fadeouts. I’m thinking it’ll be fine but was curious what you guys thought. It’s located almost at the thickest part of the fadeout so there shouldn’t be any bending there. The rest of the glue lines on the bow are perfect. Would you be concerned about it if it were your bow? Thanks in advance for any replies.

  Your Fine...  As long as it is not hollow all the way through...   Tap on it with the blunt end of a 1/4" drill bit and see if it sounds hollow...  2X what Roy-a-Rooni said...  You might want to heat it up with a heat gun just before you put the glue on... Not too hot to the touch...  The heat will help the glue to flow better and when the area begins to cool it will suck more glue into the joint...  If you don't have a heat gun sit it out in the sun...

Wouldn’t concern me at all. Have almost the identical thing going on with my current build. I gave it as much super glue as it would take. I’ve put a couple hundred arrows thru it while tillering/timing the limbs. No problem. I am going to put overlays on it. Just because it’s clear glass and looks like crap.

I just started using CA glue for a grain filler, as it was recommended by many folks here.
Noticed that it works real good as a gap filler if you dribble some on and sand it in right away.
Might have to be careful with light wood next to dark like you have, probably don't want any light wood dust in the gap.

Thanks y’all. After reading your replies I realized it’s not apparent in the pics and perhaps my wording was a bit vague. That “gap” is actually filled solid with epoxy. I guess it’s less of a “gap” and more of a “widening of the glue line.” I was just slightly concerned about the strength of a less than perfect glue line.

Perhaps this is why friends tell me I can be a bit neurotic at times. I used to think they were just joking, haha. I’m not crazy though, this technically is a weak section in the bond, right? If this were in the limb I’d actually be worried about it coming apart at this spot.

Anyway, thanks for making me feel better about this. It was causing lots of anxiety, lol! I guess I don’t have to scrap it and start over now!

Not overly concerned but I would still fill it with some CA glue.   You guys have to scale down your pics its like 3MB.   I have a new Dell Computer windows 10 and it loads like a snail having those pics.

   Not necessarily...  If the joint does not any major voids or air bubbles it could be just as strong...  Epoxy is different from wood glue... Epoxy works well with a loose fitting joint where as wood glue prefers a tight joint...  Although too loose of a joint is not good either...

Very interesting, I didn’t realize this, but am glad I do now. I am very familiar with using wood glue which is why this this was bugging me.

Yup, it definitely does! Oh well, it’s a learning experience I guess. I need to lash it down a little better on the next build. This is my third bow on this form and I haven’t had any issues with it before, so I must’ve gotten a bit complacent.

  If everything was done right and sitting flat like it should...    Here are some things that might have happened and things you could do to get better results...

   -  There might have been too big of a gap at that spot for your air hose...  Put a wedge behind your air hose to give you a little more pressure there...

   -  That can be a problematic area because it is too close to the end of the lam...  Instead of continuing your curve to the very end make the last 3/4" to 1" flat...  It will solve the problem...

   -  Watch how thick of a lam you put on there...  If it is a tighter radius you want to stay under .125"...
