New Wapiti LB--PICS
« on: April 06, 2008, 11:03:00 PM »
My Christmas present to myself arrived and I am loving it! She's a "Spike" Take-Down built by J.K. Chastain of Wapiti bows. She's 60", 52/59@26. Curly Maple Riser with Osage accents, Curly Maple Limb Lams with a touch of stain to them. She's soooo smooth and quick. I got the Dual-Draw Weight option, so she is either 52@26, or 59@26. All I have to do is change strings and string her different to have another weight. She shoots great at either weight too. What a great modification to a bow! I couldn't get a good picture of the limb tips, so I included a pic from Chastains Web-Site so you can see how it's done. I'll be taking her to the Whittingham here in Jersey in a few weeks and expect to have a bunch of fun with her.

Just got my order of Hush Puppy's and installed them on the FF strings and they eliminated what little string noise there was. Can't say enough about how great those Hush Puppy's work! Best string silencers out there in my opinion. Tried Beaver Balls first until the Puppy's arrived so I had a good comparision. Thanks to the folks at Bow Hush!!

That's a neat option. Beautiful bow.

Cheers,
