Lumbar pack suggestions

I love hunting with a lumbar pack. I've used larger daypacks but just don't care for hunting in them. But I'm having issues finding a pack I really like.

I really like the looks of the Bison Gear Lost River pack but that no longer appears to be an option. I've looked around and what i have found are either too loud of a material (Mystery ranch pop up18) or too small or I have quality concerns. Any ideas or thoughts?

I used a Badlands pack and its like most with all the pockets, but it was quiet..Maybe a option..Good Luck..Jerry

Do you feel like you have to have camo? I use this Mountainsmith:Day model lumbar pack with the Strappettes (actually have two, one has flyfishing gear in it). High quality, durable. I have been using it for seven years or so. Two water bottle holders (or one water bottle holder and one box type Turkey call holder). It has a 13L capacity with bottom straps for carrying a jacket or rain gear. It comes with a cross body/shoulder strap but if you are going a distance or carrying weight the 4-point Strappettes are the way to go. Pack with the straps will run $120 MSRP, but I bet you can find them cheaper or on sale somewhere. Lifetime warranty out of Golden, CO.

I have used a ton of different brands but I absolutely love the pack from Alps Outdoorz (that’s how they spell it).

The Big Bear lumbar pack ($89) can be converted to a regular pack and the little bear ($59) is more than big enough for most hunters.  Great quality and crazy comfort.

I don't need camo. Just a soft quiet fabric. That is my only hang-up on the Mountainsmith pack. It is probably the top contender at this point. However, I just saw Angelo's post on Bison Gear being sold so I might hold off in hopes of landing a Lost River. But please keep the ideas coming in case ive missed something out there. I'm still not sure I can justify the cost of a Bison Gear pack.

It is made of codura...  but after having been washed in the machine a couple of times it's pretty soft. I dont notice that it's any noisier than any other gear I have.

I dont feel like it makes a lot of noise in the brush or stalking in the understory.

Try to find a KOM lumbar pack or a Sleeping Indian lumbar pack.  Ive been using them for 20 years.
