Prayers for my good friend 1/4 Away Fred...
« on: August 16, 2019, 06:16:28 PM »
I got a text at work from Fred himself asking for a Big favor ASAP and he was in the hospital at the time getting ready to have a Cardiac Cath and asking to Please pray..
So I ask all my Brothers and Sisters here to please join me in lifting up Fred in prayers that our Father in Heaven will guide the Dr's hands as they do the needed procedure and that Fred will have no issues with this.
Not sure how he is doing but I sent him a text  right away to let me know how he is doing after when he is able.
Fred I'm praying Brother and hang in there my good friend.
Folks I will let you know if I hear anything and I appreciate all who will join in and lift him up in Jesus name.

Update on Fred ...
Last night he texted me a message that he had a blocked artery with a clot in it. Then had to put 2 stints in it. He also said he had some chest discomfort but should be going home tomorrow (Sat.)...
It sprung up on him on Tuesday night then felt great on Wednesday then started again on Thursday night so he got to hospital to see what was happening and good thing he did .
Keeping him in prayers and so glad he went to get it checked out.

One has to log in here to find "NEW" posts and I missed this yesterday....

That whole blockage and clotting thing can be a real nuisance...

I wish Fred Well with his recovery and longer term treatment... Stints can be grand things but clots can clog them up, too...

I'm sure they'll have him on Blood Thinners now and he can adjust diet or whatever to help

Prayers for God's will... We all are in His Mercy

Update at 1:13p.m Saturday Fred just text me about having a 85% blockage and he had no cholesterol issues and thought it was odd? He now has to wait to have a echo cardiogram  done tomorrow so he has another night stay at the hospital . I told him we got him lifted up here for a quick recovery and it is probably best he spends a few days there to be fully sure All is good before he go's home .

Hi guys! I want to thank you all for your prayers and especially my buddy Keefer for starting this thread. It was a shock to find out that even though my blood pressure was good and my cholesterol was always in the 170 range that one of my arteries was 85% ecluded with plaque and a clot. They put 2 stents in the artery because of its size. They kept me an extra day in order to do an echocardiogram which showed everything was working great. I’m home now and have to lay low for the next 2 weeks and follow up with a cardiologist. I thank God that I didnt have a full blown heart attack and caught this in time.

After the scare he got, Keith, I kinda bet he'll be on his best behavior...

They tell me that there is two types of LDL --- ONe is the small dense molecule and the other is the large boyant one...

Most insurances won't pay for the LDL Cholesterol "Fractionation" test to tell which you have the most of, low density, large boyant or the small dense stuff that causes plaque.  The other bugaboo is that much of a Cholesterol test is calculated off one or 2 of the measured stuff...

It's a crap shoot regardless...so praises to God Fred got enough warning to beat this thing... the hard way but Lord must be saving you for something... :notworthy:

Now after several texts last night back and forth with Fred one of his texts mentioned he had to rest for about 10 days doing no strenuous activity and "If" you know Fred he will be definitely doing this part as the Dr. said.
I can see his wife now with a "To Do" list and counting down the days as Fred heals  :readit:

i'll take your word, Keith, that Fred will mind the doc's...

I'm sure his bride will also keep a careful eye on his recovery, but you'd know them best and if you say there will be "honey do" lists, I believe you...

Take it slow and steady, Fred... :shaka:

Doc I think Fred told me his wife was or had been a nurse. If he doesn't follow the doctors orders I bet she can keep him in line.

:bigsmyl: LR, I was raised by an ex RN and I never met a germ till I moved away from home... Some, nothing phases them and others, like mine, we what we called "worry warts" (whatever that meant?), But regardless, she'll know the drill and hopefully, keep him in line!

Morning all. Lowrider is correct, my wife is an RN and ran the ER at a hospital about 30 minutes from us. I believe in a previous life she was a drill sergeant  :biglaugh: When they did my procedure they went through my right wrist and I'm not suppose to bend it for 10 days and not lift anything over 10 pounds so Im now making her a honey do list of all the things i cant do that she is going to have to do .
