A couple more masterpieces from TallTines
« on: August 19, 2019, 08:34:43 PM »
Only a few days after my African trip, and these two beauties arrive.  My nicest Stickflingers yet.  The mango/chechen is 57#@28, so around 61-62# for me, and the myrtle/zircote is 52#@28", so maybe 57# for me.

The Stickflinger shoots as good as it looks.  My favorite.  Fast as many recurves and quiet as a Hill style.  These ones are gorgeous.

Dang sweet! Wish my TT had that style of grip.  I'd probably keep it.

Great looking bows.
In moment of lunacy I put mine up for sale at a ridiculous price, I might add.  Thank goodness nobody took me up on it.  It is one of the smoothest drawing bows I have owned.  Just very well mannered.

Those are gorgeous for sure.  I had a StickFinger for a while and it was a remarkable bow in all regards.  The ONLY reason I sold it was I couldn't get a perfect grip on it.  For some reason when I turned to shoot behind me I would get some string slap on occasions with mine whereas I don't experience that with my Sarrells bows.  That doesn't make the StickFingers a bad bow, but rather they just didn't fit me perfectly.  I will say though that my StickFinger was probably the best shooting non-Sarrells bow in my hands that I've ever owned.  It was a remarkable example of design and craftsmanship.
