Need some limbs for Whitetail II riser
« on: August 25, 2019, 08:25:32 PM »
I recently picked up a Bear Whitetail II riser off a raffle table and need some advice on getting limbs for it. I don't know anything about it. The tag on it merely said it has Hawkeye plates (I don't have a clue about any of this). I would like to put somewhat short recurve limbs on it at 35 - 40# with bow fishing in mind. I don't want to put much money into a riser I only paid $2.00 for. I'm open for any suggestions. What say you guys who understand these things - is this a viable project?

There’s a Whitetail 2 Warfing forum on Tradtalk I googled and took this screenshot
Does yours have limb bolts? I read the Whitetail 2 with limb bolts does the same as this Bear

If it has Hawkeye plates installed already it should be set up to accept ilf limbs.  Hawkeye is a manufacturer of aluminum plates for warfing (converting to ilf) a number of older compound risers.

Hey Sam, I have a pair of limbs you can try just to get you feet wet. Just say the word and you can try them. ILF is neat, the sky is the limit to the options you can have !!
