Ok thanks , I made a 64" a while back & missed my draw weight a lot ,like 10lb & double trapped the bow was able to dropped about 6 1/2 lb or there about, I hate it hitting really heavy, I would rather be light you can usually pike

This one was double trapped too , to get it down to 55#!

Yep same boat here was at 62lb ,55-56lb is about all I can handle these days !

managed to get this fairly ordinary shot of the bow with all parallels at full draw. I have it at about 29'' in shot which would be about 58#. String angle is very small so could draw heck of a way more in my opinion.what are the thoughts on the profile{ NOT the archer!} of the bow ?

I got a chance to study you Full draw Bob looks great, I was comparing it to one of my 60"s & one of the 64"s ,to get the aproximate same angle as you & at my 31" draw I have to go to the 64" with carbon which gives it a slightly better string angle ,your 60" has a superior string angle to my 60" with .001 taper ,so the question in my mind does the superior string angle of your bow compensate for the extra mass of the parallels ?? But I have a good idea for a new test bow use a .000 taper super/lam and adjust the stack & narrow the tips like a molly !

I was thinking about setting the S/L sled on top of the .001 taper sled Kenny ,but wasn't sure how much it would effect the wedges ? It sure looks like Bob's has a improved string angle ! I didn't think about a reverse .001 taper Do you think the double sled set up would work ?

Bob what weight where you shooting for on that bow ? What would be your guess as far as Pounds heaver then the taper , thanks for all the info Im glad your making these bows

Was going for 40#\ 45#, came in at 55# so around 15# above or thereabouts

Probably closer to 10# as I allowed a bit of wriggle room to be able to thin it all down width wise just to see if narrower was beneficial. Apart from not grinding a taper of course ! Lol

I would bet your bow has great early draw tension ? Looks like it moved more stressed working limb lower in a good way , I think you just came up with the Ausy Rocket Launcher Mate

It does have early tension . I should do a force draw graph and check it out. I have learned stuff of your builds too so it is reciprical!The only problem I see with these is using veneers. I have used full length veneers so far, as the tight curve in riser might make it problematic with scarf joined veneers bending around those curved
